While you Shop: Children's Holiday Puffin Workshop

While caregivers catch up on holiday shopping, children, aged 8 – 11 years can get in the holiday spirit too!  Create a puffin or polar bear ornament using an easy embroidery technique.  We’ll be making holiday ornaments based on the animals of Newfoundland & Labrador in our museum galleries. No embroidery or sewing experience needed, just bring some enthusiasm!

What to Expect:

• We will learn embroidery stitches and techniques needed to make holiday-themed puffin and polar bear ornaments
• We will work on one ornament during the session and participants will take home materials (and skills!) to make a second ornament at home
• We’ll also enjoy some hot chocolate and a cookie, visit the Connections gallery to see the animals featured in our ornaments, and take in all the holiday decorations at the Rooms along the way.
