“From Newfoundland to Gallipoli and Home Again: The Story of the Seventh Caribou”

This documentary tells the story of 35 people, mainly from Newfoundland and Labrador, who travelled to Gallipoli, Türkiye in 2022 to dedicate the last Caribou Memorial. Told through the experience of relatives of the soldiers who fought in this First World War campaign in 1915/1916 – the film is an emotional journey linking past and present, exploring Newfoundland’s participation in Gallipoli and why it took over a century to install a final caribou monument there.

Length: 90 minutes. There will be a Q&A to follow the screening. Intermission and a Cash Bar available.

Tickets: $12 plus HST. 10% Discount for Rooms Members. Get your tickets online or by calling (709)757-8090.
