Opening Reception
You are invited to join us for a free public art gallery opening reception!
Making Home Here, curated by Rachel Gilbert, explores the newcomer and migrant experience and how they have come to call Newfoundland & Labrador home. Through their paintings, photography, screen-printing and textile work, the artists give insight into the challenges of relocating, domesticity, marginalization and the importance of multiculturalism.
This exhibition includes artwork by Shazia Ahmad, Brian Amadi, Ethel Brown, Ksenia Korniewska, Anita Singh and Ginok Song.
There will be a musical performance, refreshments and a cash bar for 19+.
Admission to the Art Gallery exhibitions will be free during the event.
