Join art educator Anne Pickard-Vaandering for a series of lively lectures about contemporary art. Happening on February 9, March 9 and April 13. This lecture takes a look at the history and interpretation of abstract art. We will also view and interpret abstract artworks in our art gallery, with a special sneak peek at selected artworks from the vault. Attend this lecture for $15, register for all three for only $40. Get Hands on with our Province’s plants, animals and wild spaces at The Rooms with Nature NL!

Nature Nook is a monthly hands-on session to interact with real specimens like seal pelts, skulls, whale baleen, antlers, moose fur, and a variety of rocks and minerals. Join us to learn more about nature and ask our volunteers all your questions about Newfoundland and Labrador’s wildlife!

Community Build – Help create a collaborative masterpiece! Each visitor gets a LEGO® brick to add to our growing display.

Button-Making Station – Design your own LEGO®-inspired button to take home.

Minifigure Search – Minifigures are hiding among the animals in the Connections Gallery—how many can you find?
